Delta A330 flying over the North Loop | September 17, 2026

I used to live in the North Loop neighborhood when there were no other businesses west of the railroad tracks other than Cuzzy's and Bar La Grassa - both are still holding on strong. Now the neighborhood is the most popular and expensive neighborhood in the entire city.

At the time I lived in this neighborhood the expensive and popular neighborhood was Uptown. Over the years Uptown has taken a nose dive where so many of the businesses have moved out. The busy intersections of Uptown are just empty storefronts and vacant bars these days. I never would have imagined either of these neighborhood turning into what they've done in the past ten years.
