Rain - Downtown Minneapolis

There has been a lot of rain today. We’ve been in a drought on the last end of summer 2026 across the entire state of Minnesota. I hope this rain puts a little dent in the drought. I always like walking around the city during thunderstorms. The street lights come on and there’s a gloomy cinematic theme that makes for good photos. In this set I walked around by Fifth Street Towers on Fifth Street - if that wasn’t obvious, then over by the Northstar parking garage via the skyway. I love the P A R K sign on that garage. It’s one of my favorite things to photograph downtown. Then I walked through the City Center and over Hennepin Avenue for the water running streak photo. Funny thing about the City Center, they’re hosting some MODE by Flickr events but they are notorious for telling people to stop photographing inside the building. Myself included.
