Tanker trains in the North Loop

Not much to say about this photo. I took it looking through a fence earlier this summer down at one of the trains going through the city.

For years these tank rail cars have gone under the bridges through the North Loop in Minneapolis. The oil tankers has historically been a source of conflict for the city and neighborhood due some safety concerns.

The trains add a level of industrial vibes to the neighborhood that are pretty much gone now since the neighborhood changed over in the 2010s.
