Peak summer on the beach - Lake Nokomis - Minneapolis | August 6, 2026

Biking back from lunch at Lake Nokomis I stopped to take a photo of peak summer in Minneapolis. A guy soaking up the sun, lifeguards watching over kids in the lake and a couple lounging in the shade.

Officially, the city has 22 lakes within the city limits which feels like a lot more than what I think of when I think about the lakes here.
