Waiting for soccer practice

Two people set up to watch soccer practice in Powderhorn park in Minneapolis. I love this photo because it is such a wide open space and the largeness of the soccer field really takes over the small people sitting in the middle. If I didn't know practice was going to start soon, I'd be curious what made these people decide to sit in the middle of this empty field.

I'm set to do a talk tomorrow for JavaScript MN tomorrow about the website Glass on the Street - a website I created to track crime in Minneapolis. In the 26 years I've been a professional software engineer I've never given a proper talk. I've presented a hundred times but never a talk at a conference or Meetup group. To be perfectly honest, I'm a bit nervous about the whole thing. The website is pretty popular and got a bunch of talk on Reddit - I even did a local news segment with a reporter about the site.

The idea of getting up in front of 50 strangers to talk about something I built makes me anxious even though in the back of my head I know that it shouldn't and it's all going to turn out great.

@clint I am a big fan of photos of people small in a large frame. Makes me want to get a tilt shift lens.
